Sociotherapy Certification is a lifelong process. Unlike psychotherapy and other forms of psychological based clinicians and interventions, the sociotherapist must have a more rigorous personal and relational process that gives the necessary support to be able to act in service of those struggling coming to us for help.
There are three levels of certification. Certified Sociotherapy Facilitator, Certified Sociotherapy Supervisor, Certified Sociotherapy Trainer. You can find the latest standards here for each.
Note: All Sociotherapy practitioners must meet the current standards. When they change from time to time, each already certified person must accomplish the new standards within 12 months of there adoption, or file a written plan with the association that outlines the timetable for completion.
