At Support Companions we practice a therapeutic process called Sociotherapy. We offer client support in the form of one-on-one and small group meetings, in-home support, sober and living companions.

Our second mission is to train and offer SocioTherapist Certification.

What is Sociology and Sociotherapy?

Sociology is the study of groups of people, and its constituent individuals and their experiences and behaviors.  It is the study of human social behavior, especially the study of the origins, organization, institutions, and development of human society. It is the systematic study of the development, structure, interaction, and collective behavior of organized groups of human beings. It is the study of the Relational Ground.

Sociotherapy is the practice of promoting healthy growth and living by facilitating therapeutic communities, personal relationships and a positive peer culture. Sociotherapy operates with the holistic vision of mankind that we all as “human beings” are a feeling, thinking, social and spiritual unity. For healthy living, we must support the whole environment, so that we each can better learn to support others and ourselves. Healing can only happen when someone wants to grow and restore to health; and it can only be facilitated through real dynamic relationship
